Pedal the waterways

Go where the water goes, along the Rhine and the canals. Thanks to the "2 banks, 3 bridges" network of cycle tracks, you can pedal from one bank to the other, "leap-frogging" to and fro across the French, German and Swiss borders.

Soak up nature in the Petite Camargue Alsacienne

If the Three Countries Region is at the crossroads of land, rail and air routes, it is also at the crossroads of waterways, which are as many corners of nature for all kinds of outdoor activities.

  • DESCRIPTION

Saint-Louis would have been a very small village called Birsen, which has now disappeared. The name Saint-Louis comes from the name of King Louis IX of France. Legend has it that he enjoyed resting in the fields that are now rue de Mulhouse, near the rue du Rail. Saint-Louis is a "young city" of a little more than 300 years old, which officially exists by ordinance of Louis XIV, dated November 28, 1684. However, Saint-Louis experienced human colonization very early on. Tombs, dating from 1500 BC, and a Gallic treasure, dating from 80 BC, have been discovered there.
